黏著劑殘留指標(ARI)

        最近碰到要評估牙科用樹脂黏著劑(Resin cement)的黏著效果，最簡單的方是就是力學測試，常見的不外乎抗張測試(Tensile test)跟抗剪測試(Shear test)兩種，目前所能找到的參考文獻也大多是這兩類居多。
可是到底是黏著劑效果太差而造成脫落(Debonding)，還是黏著劑太強使得表面破壞後造成破壞脫落，這會直接影響到力學實驗的結果，這部分將另文說明。

        一般來說，在進行齒列矯正(Orthodontics)治療時，會將矯正器黏著於牙齒表面，此時會希望黏著劑在治療過程中不會脫落，治療結束後將矯正器移除時又不會傷害到原有的牙齒表面，因此黏著劑或多或少會附著於牙齒表面，因此有學者提出一種評估黏著劑殘留的方法，稱為黏著殘留指標(Adhesive Remnant Index, ARI)。

ARI	Description
0	0% of the bonding agent remaining on the enamel specimen surface.
1	Less than 50% of the bonding agent remaining on the enamel specimen surface.
2	50% or more of the bonding agent remaining on the enamel specimen surface.
3	100% of bonded enamel covered by a layer of bonding agent
4	Enamel damage as a result of debonding.

   
        將矯正器移除後的表面利用顯微鏡放大約10-20倍就可以清楚的看到黏著表面的情況並加以評估。
